Come listen to him explain why your body does some of the things it does while flying an aircraft, how your eyes can betray you, and how even with oxygen you might not be safe to fly.

November 17 at 6:30 PM - Vancouver Olympics TFR
Learn what you need to know about the Airspace Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) during the 2010 Vancouver B.C. Winter Olympics & Paralympics Games. Don't end up with an uninvited wing-man.

August 14 at 7 PM - Emergency Maneuver Training - "Controlling Your Airplane During a Crisis"
Learn the keys to maximizing the probability of surviving a forced landing and coping with control failures, as well as the critical sequence of events needed to recover from various unusual attitudes. However, for this presentation he will devote time to explore the effect that airplane design has on stall & spin characteristics and recovery techniques. The seminar will open with an interesting video clip sent by one of Rich's test pilot friends.

August 6 at 7 - 9 PM - "VFR Refresher"
This interactive seminar will knock the rust off your VFR piloting skills. We will review VFR Procedures (Normal and Emergency), Regulations, and Maneuvers. The top 3 accident causal factors for VFR pilots will be examined. Do you know what they are and how to avoid them?
Recommendation-Fly a 1 1/2 hour VFR Refresher flight. This flight will include scenarios based on the top 3 accident causal factors.

APRIL 16 at 7 - 9 PM - "Mountain Flying Adventure"
A mountain flying adventure awaits you! The Cascade and Olympic Mountains are only 30 minutes away. Your instructor, Allan Willis, will share his extensive mountain flying experience with you.

APRIL 4 at 9:30AM "Flying to Canada"
The ins and outs of getting into and out of our neighbor to the north. Don't get tripped up, there are changes you need to know about.

Recommendation-Plan and fly a Mountain Flying Adventure. We have 4 routes to choose from to sharpen your mountain flying skills.

JANUARY 10 - "The Virtual Flight Plan"
Learn how to get the most out of computer weather gathering and flight planning- including AOPA's new flight planner. Dan will teach you how the professionals do it. Learn what's important, what's not and how to get it quickly and efficiently. This two hour session will improve your flight planning skills.

Recommendation-Apply what you learned to plan a short cross-country flight "virtually" and then fly it with Dan. Find out how precise flight planning can be.

JANUARY 24 - "VFR Refresher"

With favorable conditions and proper preparation, mountain flying will provide you with spectacular beauty and new destinations. Your instructor, Allan Willis, will share his extensive mountain flying experience with you.

FEBRUARY 28 - "Instrument Refresher"
Polish your IFR skills with this Instrument Refresher course. IFR Procedures, Regulations and Maneuvers will be reviewed in an interactive, fun program created by Dan. We will discuss what causes IFR accidents and more importantly, how to avoid them.

Recommendation-Fly a 2.0 hour IFR Refresher flight that includes D.P., Holding, Vector and Pilot Nav, Approaches including GPS, Missed and Circle-To-Land. For this flight Dan prefers Paine Field. This flight can also be conducted
