| Dan DeShon Dan is our chief pilot. He is a highly experienced pilot and flight instructor with over 15,000 hours of flight time and 5,000 hours as an instructor as well as regional and major airline experience. Dan is an FAA Safety Team Representative for the North Puget Sound. Dan has completed FITS training for Technologically Advanced Aircraft from Cessna Aircraft Co. He is a Garmin G-1000, 430/480/530, King 89/90 series instructor. He also has wide experience preparing pilots for airline interview simulator checks.

Allan Willis Allan is an experienced pilot /instructor with over 8,000 flight hours. He attended Dixie College in St. George, UT, flew air tours and bush operations in Alaska, air tours in the Grand Tetons as well as charter/air taxi operations in Hawaii. He also has sailplane experience. Allan started Northwest Sportplanes in 2006. He is an experienced hand in many single & twin engine aircraft.

Jim Sweet Jim joined our staff in the spring of 2011. He started flying in California when he was 21 and enjoys flying to the utmost. Jim is a biologist in his "other' life.

Jim Wood Jim first learned to fly in gliders in 1973. Jim began his professional flying career as a charter pilot in the San Juan Islands as well as doing flight instruction. He has flown single and twin engine aircraft operations in Washington and Alaska. Jim has logged over 10,000 hours of flight time.

Ted Van Der Kolk Ted is the newest addition to our staff. Ted and his family recently moved to Friday Harbor. His background includes charter operations as well as regional airline flying with over 5000 hours of flight time. He's also an experienced flight instructor.
