Westwind Aviation provides air charter services in the Pacific Northwest as well as flight training and scenic flights. Our goal is to provide the best possible flight experience.Safety is of utmost importance and we strive to keep our fleet in top condition and operate on a "best practices" basis.

Dan DeShon

Dan is our chief pilot. He is a highly experienced pilot and flight instructor with over 16,000 hours of flight time and 5,000 hours as an instructor as well as regional and major airline experience. Dan is an FAA Safety Team Representative for the North Puget Sound. Dan has completed FITS training for Technologically Advanced Aircraft from Cessna Aircraft Co. He is a Garmin G-1000, 430/480/530, King 89/90 series instructor. He also has wide experience preparing pilots for airline interview simulator checks.

Allan Willis

Allan is an experienced pilot /instructor with over 8,500 flight hours. He attended Dixie College in St. George, UT, flew air tours and bush operations in Alaska, air tours in the Grand Tetons as well as charter/air taxi operations in Hawaii. He also has sailplane experience. Allan started Northwest Sportplanes in 2006. He is an experienced hand in many single & twin engine aircraft.

Keith DeLapp

Keith was raised here on San Juan Island. He's great to have on a scenic flight because he really knows the islands. Keith is a graduate of Whitman College with a degree in physics. Keith has also "piloted" commercial ships in Washington and Alaska. He learned to fly several years ago right here at Westwind. He enjoys family time, flying and sailing.

Peter Scott

Peter is our newest addition to our pilot staff. He did his flight training in Arizona and is new to the San Juans. As well as flying charter trips, Peter is a CFII and an excellent instructor.
